FVB will be making several presentations, including Bernt Andersson talking about Varberg Energi\u2019s district heating initiative. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IDEA is an umbrella trade association founded in 1909, with nearly 3,000 members in over 30 countries. This year&#8217;s conference and exhibition take place 23\u201326 June with the theme \u2018Connecting Networks\u2019. Personnel from FVB\u2019s offices in Sweden, the USA and Canada will be holding a total of five presentations.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bernt Andersson from FVB\u2019s office in V\u00e4ster\u00e5s will talk about Varberg Energi\u2019s investment in district cooling, using geocooling from the sea and surplus heat from the pulp mill S\u00f6dra Cell V\u00e4r\u00f6. This form of cooling production is up to five times more efficient than the systems currently used by customers. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is a model project for innovative and broad-based collaboration within urban planning. It also confirms Varberg\u2019s leadership within modern and eco-friendly energy solutions,\u201d says Bernt Andersson. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IDEA is also arranging study visits in Ottawa, where the state-owned energy company has undertaken an extensive upgrade and expansion of its one-hundred-year-old district heating and cooling system.
